Welcome To Calvary

We invite you to join us for a Sunday service to see for yourself what Calvary is about. Of course, we understand that visiting any church for the first time means entering unfamiliar territory, which can be a little intimidating, but let us assure you that being our guest is not a difficult process. However, for those of you who like to know exactly what to expect and do, we have put together these simple tips to make your first experience at Calvary an easy process.

guest_spotWhen You Arrive

When you enter our campus from Cleveland Avenue, you will need to turn left to go up the hill when you come to end of the driveway. When you get to the upper parking lot, look for the green guest parking spaces. This area is close to the building and is reserved especially for our guests every Sunday. When you enter the building, you will be met by friendly people who will show you to the Guest Center. At the Guest Center, you will receive information about Calvary, a connection card, and someone will be happy to take you to our children’s ministry area, the hospitality room, or into the Worship Center.

Relax

When you come to Calvary you’ll find a group of people just like you. There is no need to be intimidated or nervous; we are genuinely excited to welcome guests each and every week. You will also find yourself in the midst of people who care about you so don’t worry about being the “new person,” we really can’t wait to meet you!

Be Yourself

At Calvary we value people being real with each other and with God. No one should have to “put on a mask” to be accepted at church. We want you to come as you are and be yourself. Many of our folks dress up for worship, and many of our folks dress casually. Our focus is not on who wears what, but whether people are connecting–with God and with their neighbor. The truth is, we are all broken people banded together by a common desire to draw close to God and live out His purpose for our lives. So, when you come to Calvary, just be yourself.

Enjoy

We believe a church should be enjoyable, and that worship should be a time that people look forward to every week and a place that you can’t wait to get back to. For this reason, we go out of our way to provide a safe place for kids to grow and learn about Christ. Our children’s workers are pre-screened and must pass a criminal background check to serve in this ministry. We also structure our services to be lively with music that is God-focused, featuring some of the great hymns that we know and love along with newer praise and worship music. The preaching is straight from the Bible, and you’ll find that the messages are relevant and will help you cultivate a meaningful and growing relationship with Christ. When you visit Calvary we want you to enjoy your time here.
